Ascend offers programs to support the unique needs of our client's membership. Ascend provides the expertise and knowledge to translate the clients' needs into effective programs. Our experience ranges from self-funded employer groups, TPAs, national employers, manufacturing, education, municipal/county/state government and union sectors providing a tailored specific approach for each individual client.

Ascend works hand in hand with our clients to support our programs and PBM. Dedicated Ascend account management staff are assigned to each group prior to implementation and can be considered a part of your team.

The following areas are highlights of our services:

  • Implementation is key to future success. Based on past experience, Ascend has learned that initial plan set up is crucial to long-term success and plan adjudication accuracy. We play an integral role and monitor the entire implementation process from start to finish. We make sure that clinicians are present to explain processes, eligibility and benefits are fully tested and assure the performance guarantees are met. We are available to provide information and guidance to lead the client through a thorough, timely and successful implementation.

  • Data and analysis make all the difference. reviews claim pricing, plan design and rebates throughout the course of the year. We will deliver reports to you to demonstrate the performance of the plan. If and when we identify issues or anomalies, Ascend will notify the client and/or broker, document back to the PBM and keep the client informed as we work through the issues in question. These processes ensure we deliver value throughout the relationship.

  • Account Management. An added benefit to clients, we make ourselves available on an as-needed basis. There are some clients that we work with on a weekly basis to fine-tune all aspects of their benefit plan. Other clients take a passive approach and we work together once or twice a year to review their plan performance and strategize on changes moving forward. Our involvement will be defined by the client. Ascend will look at areas for improvement ranging from educational programs, administrative programs, benefit plan structure, dispensing avenues, and clinical aspects.
